The left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) space is among the fastest growing segments in the cardiovascular medical technology segment. The company recently closed its Series D financing, which raised a total of $35 million to support ongoing enrollment of the company’s CONFORM Pivotal Trial, drive iterative development projects, and broaden clinical experience in expanded geographies. Conformal Medical was started in 2016 to develop a next generation left atrial appendage occlusion implant to prevent strokes in patients with Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). The innovative technology simplifies patient treatment and improves outcomes. The company has completed Early Feasibility Studies and recently initiated a Pivotal Trials in the US (CONFORM Trial) which will enroll 1,600 subjects into a prospective two-arm trial. The primary focus of the company is to maximize enrollment in the safest and most efficient manner to obtain PMA approval in 2027 or prior. The Leader of Therapy Development will ideally possess a proven track record of managerial, clinical training, marketing, and therapy development skillsets.

Responsibilities:
Education:
* Assist in developing communication tools for all employees of Conformal Medical to use in educating the Principal Investigators (PIs), Clinical Research staff, extended hospital staff and other stakeholders at CONFORM sites
* Assist in managing the creation and production of training and educational material that assists all stakeholders in their presentation of the CONFORM study to suitable patients.
* Engage with referring physicians to drive appropriate patients for LAAC and potential consideration for the CONFORM trial
* Develop best practices/operational playbook, driving referrals through increasing therapy awareness, streamlining patient screening, and establishing value of the CLAAS device

Marketing:
* Help to Identify opportunities for the CLAAS device to be presented at medical conferences to include negotiating with meeting organizers, selecting presenting physicians and preparing them for their presentations. Identify and understand key opportunities for Podium and Live Case presentations
* Assist in the development and execution of a digital marketing strategy to inform the audience of those platforms regarding publicly available information about the company, the CLAAS device and the CONFORM trial

Leadership:
* Assist in the forecasting the personnel needs of the Therapy Development team to effectively engage with all stakeholders involved in the CONFORM trial to provide training, key messaging, and marketing materials
* Assist in the Identification of unique methods to reward success and share best practice methodologies amongst team members (compensation, recognition, communication).
* Work with Conformal colleagues to build a cohesive, best in class team that meets the goals of the CONFROM Trial
* Develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL’s) in interventional cardiology (IC) and Electrophysiologists (EP) through direct interactions with clinical investigators, medical advisors, and clinical leaders
* Collaborate and execute cross-functional initiatives and support cross-functional efforts involving R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and others to execute on the Conformal mission

Requirements:

* Minimum 10 years of experience in the medical device industry with proven track record in Sales and or Marketing Management, Clinical Training, Clinical Selling/Marketing, and Operations
* BA/BS degree in business or related field
* Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels of the organization
* Strong business acumen and Medical Interventional industry expertise
* Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
